For over 200 years, Maison Nicolas has been serving wine lovers thanks to the expertise of its wine merchants and a selection of wines tailored to all types of consumers.

To mark the opening of its new store in Saint-Ouen, the brand has designed a customer experience that engages all five senses to offer a more immersive and educational exploration.

Hearing plays a central role here. Maison Nicolas wanted to make it easy for every visitor to access advice and explanations about the different product categories, even when the wine specialists were already assisting other customers.

To address this challenge, the company enlisted EKOO to create an audio system capable of extending the wine experts’ knowledge throughout the tour.

The project

EKOO has designed a true digital sales tool, accessible directly in-store via QR codes integrated into the shopping experience.

Thirteen audio playlists guide visitors as they explore the winery’s main categories: red wines, white wines, spirits, champagnes, and other iconic categories of the House.

Promoted by wine retailers, these resources provide easy-to-understand advice, highlight the unique characteristics of each category, and help visitors better understand the products before making their selection.

The experience continues with a playlist dedicated to the Guilbert Parfum home fragrance, which tells the story of this signature scent created to complement the sensory journey.

Finally, two feedback collection tools accessible via QR codes are used to gather feedback from customers and wine merchants in order to measure the program’s adoption and guide its development.

The results

Through this initiative, Maison Nicolas is exploring a new way to share its expertise and engage with its visitors, by combining advice, education, and sensory experiences right in the store.
